Crowd cheering, where someone with hearing loss finds it hard to distinguish sounds.

Introduction

From tiny babies hearing their parents softly singing to them, to young children listening to their own voice for the first time, restoring one’s sense of sound is something of a miracle – and watching the moment it first unfolds brings pure joy.

While too often we’re chastised for having our smart phones within arm’s reach, being able to document and discover these extraordinary moments does make us grateful for having content-capturing devices at the ready.
With hearing aids making sound a possibility for so many, watch what happens in the following clips the moment they’re first fitted. (Warning, tissues at the ready)
